My health journey began in 2006 after I had our 3rd child, and I was truly sick and tired of being sick and tired. I was overweight even BEFORE I got pregnant and was experiencing stomach issues, brain fog, fatigue, my cholesterol was high, my thyroid was low functioning, and my energy was in the tank and with having 3 children that was going to be a problem.
I started focusing on my own nutrition and transitioning my family as well. Incorporating more fruits & vegetables and less processed foods. I started noticing the symptoms I was having were slowly starting to go away – including the excess weight. I (literally) started walking around my living room. We are a homeschooling family and we had limited funds, so this was the way to go for me. I then started doing home workouts in my living room. Whatever it took!
In 2017 I became a health & wellness coach and started guiding women through nutrition and fitness programs that could all be done in the comfort of their own home. Something was missing (for me) though. I looked into the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2021 and signed up. I wanted to offer a more holistic approach to my coaching AND be able to reach more women.
What is an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach or Holistic Health Counselor?
I work with an ongoing coaching plan to support my client’s goals. We focus on much more than just nutrition and fitness. We also focus on things like career, relationships, faith walk and more. I help my clients understand how to nourish themselves holistically and coach them toward their goals.
My specific area is peri & post-menopausal women who have lived and taken care of everyone else & have lost themselves to some extent in the process.
Making ourselves a priority again will NEVER be something we regret.
